July 11, 2020 — While the Praeclara Vocal Company is on hiatus from its usual schedule of concerts and stage performances due to the global coronavirus pandemic, the company’s executive and artistic director, Dr. Bevan Keating, announced plans to share an online video series of sacred music recordings with the community. The recordings feature members of the Praeclara Vocal Company performing in partnership with members of the Second Presbyterian Church Adult Choir.
The first video in the series features composer Mark Sharp’s “There Is a Balm in Gilead.” Soloists for this performance are Satia Spencer (mezzo-soprano) and Luke Angelo (tenor), with piano accompaniment by Leann Hatley.
